Our client, a global development charity, is seeking to recruit a European Business Partner for their North London based premises.

Role Purpose:

1. To support the development and maintenance of centres of excellence across Europe in respect of human resources and governance;
2. To support associates and affiliates, as needed, with HR advice of a non-legislative nature;
3. To support the aim to ensure that Europe embraces current thinking around best practice which best fits the aims and values of the organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

- To support the development and maintenance of centres of excellence across Europe in respect of human resources and governance

- To contribute to the development and maintenance of an HR centre of excellence with the provision of first-class, timely and consistent HR advice

- To support the aim to ensure that Europe embraces current thinking around best practice which best fits the aims and values of the organisation


Key skills, experiences, knowledge and competences required:

Essential:

1. CIPD, or equivalent qualification, or qualified through experience;
2. Significant HR generalist experience in a range of different situations;
3. Proven project management skills with the proven ability to move things on rapidly in a virtual management environment;
4. Ability to work well with other cultures across Europe and wider;
5. Excellent relationship management;
6. A self-starter who can manage their own time effectively;
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to adapt approaches to those whose first language may not be English;
8. A track record of delivering HR products and advice which are high quality, fit for purpose and legislatively compliant across a range of countries.

Desirable:

1. Experience of working in a European environment would be a distinct advantage. This could have been in country or based in the UK performing a regional role;
2. HR specialist skills in one or more of the following: Organisational development, learning and development, strategic resourcing, diversity and equality;
3. HR business partnership experience would be a distinct advantage;
4. Experience in applying for or being re-accredited with people in aid accreditation would be useful, as would experience in another international non-governmental organisation (INGO).
