European Training & Development Manager

My client, a global market leading business with a strong brand name are looking to recruit a European Training and Development Manager into the business. The purpose of this position is to strengthen the European training & development function across the European subsidiaries and continue to develop and implement the leadership development strategy.

As the Training and Development Manager you will be looking at the Leadership Pipeline, associated development programmes and leadership competencies across Europe. You will adopt a partnering approach with the local training and development staff to ensure the strategy is relevant to both global and local development needs and work closely with HR to ensure consistency of strategy and implementation.

Key responsibilities will include :

To develop and implement an innovative training and development strategy
Conduct analysis of leadership development needs across the business
Deliver training and facilitation on appropriate courses
develop and manage an e-learning tool to ensure it is utilised effectively
To design and develop a training curriculum in partnership with the subsidiaries
To manage the training budget
Develop top talent programmes and initiatives in line with talent review action plans


The successful candidate will have :

Positive and pro-active attitude
Be commercially oriented
Have excellent communication skills
Good attention to detail
Experience of developing and implementing best practice leadership development initiatives
Previous experience of designing training courses
The ability to use a variety of training methodologies and techniques
Fluency in another European language
