At Hays Human Resources I am currently working alongside my global client a household name based in Weybridge who is currently seeking to recruit a Training Co-ordinator/Manager to join their team ASAP.

 

The European HQ Department is responsible for the provision of European training activities for the company, including but not limited to online training, offline training, information handling, content creation (on and offline) and strategy development. The role will involve regular contact with European colleagues as well as regular reporting on training functions throughout Europe including training tracking documents to provide performance versus target data.

 

The jobholder will

 

Be located in the UK, but with periodic European travel likely.

Collaborate closely with HQ, European subsidiaries and external parties (e.g. web design agency responsible for online training modules).

 



Key Objectives



To co-ordinate subsidiary floor sales training and communications activities and report back on subsidiary performance to target. To assist subs through development of training and key product communication strategise to meet their country targets.

 

Areas of Responsibility

 

You will work closely with external design agencies in the design, development and implementation of regularly-updated product training modules for both online and instore use.

Obtain and collate country and product group feedback in order to prioritise which messages to communicate.

Be able to measure effectiveness of activities through quantitative and qualitative measures.

Oversee the training budget to ensure plans are delivered on time and to budget.

Manage & develop the European training plans and product training schedule.

Maintain links with other marketing activities in order to ensure a consistent approach and brand positioning company European subsidiary usage.









Person Specification

 

Previous Training experience

Experience in project management in consumer electronics or a similarly technical environment.

Good project management skills (as several things must be managed simultaneously)

Strong attention to detail as reports will need to be prepared for distribution at a senior level.

Good persuasion skills (in getting help and support from very busy colleagues across Europe)

A positive, can-do and tenacious attitude to overcome inevitable challenges

The jobholder will benefit from a knowledge of how to negotiate with internal stakeholders and will have experience of project management. They should have a technical aptitude as product information will need to be absorbed. Other languages and international experience would be an advantage.
