A truly exciting job for a HR Advisor looking for their next progressive role.
A Global retail company are looking to recruit a HR Advisor for their UK Head Office team. This job will cover a regional remit and there will be travel involved due to the retail client group. This is a fantastic role for candidates wanting to develop their already strong advisory experience in a fast paced and team environment. You will provide advice to Regional Managers, Store Managers and employees in designated Regions on a wide range of HR issues including recruitment, discipline, grievances, absence control, health and safety and employment law. This role has succession plans and will progress quickly. With excellent benefits candidate will have ideally a retail background but this is not essential.

The main duties will include the following:
Act as first point of contact for staff on employee related issues, advising Store Managers, District Development Managers and Regional Managers on employee performance and disciplinary matters in line with legislation and operational requirements.
Participate actively in the investigation of grievances of a sensitive nature.
Administer all employee relations related paperwork.
Proactively co-ordinate sickness and absence reporting for all stores monitor and report on sickness levels and advise Managers on persistent short term sickness.
Co-ordinate and attend home visits and communication with doctors on long term sick cases.
Deal with all maternity / parental related queries and other family related policies.
Provide advice on Health and Safety matters, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Participate and design Human Resources related training where appropriate in conjunction with the Training and Development department.
Produce employee related statistical reports eg headcount, turnover.
Assist in the maintenance of manual employee records.
Keep up to date with employment law changes and ensure they are applied.
Involvement in reviewing current policies and procedures to ensure compliances with best practice and current legislation.
Liaise with Store Managers, Regional Managers, Loss Prevention and other members of the Human Resources Department on a regular basis.
Potentially supervise and develop Field HR Administrator in the future.
