The Office of Government Commerce (OGC), an office of HM Treasury, supports government departments and other public sector organisations to get best value from the procurement of goods and services. The Government Procurement Service (GPS) programme led by the OGC CEO/Head of GPS has been established to facilitate the achievement of this aim. Its vision is to create “a sustainable balance of skilled procurement professionals, matching the growing scale and complexity of government’s
delivery agenda”. The GPS Division is now recruiting for high calibre candidates to join a growing team in a number of new full time roles to deliver this agenda in partnership with Departments.

In order to ensure that the learning & development needs of procurement professionals are met, you will develop strategies to ensure that they stay ahead of current procurement trends and are constantly aware of new developments within the profession. You will work closely both with central government departments, and also learning and development providers including the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), universities and colleges.

Reporting to the GPS Head of Skills, Capability and Membership, you will have significant experience in working on learning & development projects, and proven project management and organisational skills.
