Head of HR – Langley, Slough - £40-£45k + car allowance

A leading international distribution company has an immediate need for an experienced HR professional with international experience to provide the necessary HR support in order for the business to achieve it’s annual business plan and ongoing strategic goals.

Working in a stand alone capacity, supporting pockets of staff across EMEA, your key responsibilities will be:

§ Create and implement international policies and practices in relation to employment, training and development and health and safety
§ Provide advice and support to managers in UK and internationally
§ Propose, formulate, advise and support on changes to the companies HR position
§ Maintain records for all matters regarding international HR
§ Provide support and advice for recruitment and selection of middle managers and senior staff
§ Coordinate benefits such as pensions and insurance
§ Initiate and progress organisational development
§ Advise and manage HR aspects of mergers ie. TUPE issues
§ Coordinate and implement training and development

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate:

§ UK and international generalist HR experience
§ Knowledge of UK and international statutory requirements and best practice
§ Project management experience
§ Experience of providing first line advice to UK and overseas managers in relation to
disciplinary, grievance, absence management etc
§ Experience of undertaking training needs analysis
§ Knowledge of pension, health and other ’person’ related insurances
§ Excellent problem solving and analytical ability
§ An ability to travel internationally as required
§ Other European languages would be highly desirable
