Head of HR, Retail – based in the North East, C. £60,000

Our client is one of the leading British Fashion Houses with over 950 outlets.

They are recruiting for a Head of Human Resources to provide an HR ‘centre of excellence’ to the business by way of advising, coaching, communicating and training to deliver the HR Plan in line with the Business Strategy. Using HR KPI’s, Company Policies Procedures and Guidelines to deliver a HR practice that is commercially aware, credible, and professional and fits with best practice.

The role is based in the office in the North East but you must be willing to travel to the office in London at least two days a week.

Key Knowledge and Experience
•Proven ability to lead and develop HR strategy and operations in a retail multi site environment
•Proven ability of developing and implementing pragmatic, high level and innovative HR, L&D and Pay and Reward solutions, in a dynamic commercial retail environment
•Previous experience of direct management of HR function
•Involved in transformation of an organisation
•Experience of leading programmes for senior team development, talent management and succession planning
•Experience of leading and overseeing change management projects that involve organisational and structural change
•Proven ability to successfully manage sensitive HR situations and employment relations issues
•Exposure to strategic reward and performance management issues
•Solid background and experience in ER, performance management, recruitment, compensation, policy and procedure development and interpretation, OD/LD, and benefits admin and pensions
•Proven management capability and strong leadership
•Substantial experience and application of understanding of employment law in a retail environment
•CIPD qualified
•10 years in HR Management
