About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operational HR Officer to become an active and equal member of the relevant management teams, taking part in management meetings and inputting to the development of the Business. Ensure that due regard is given to both short and long term impact of decisions on people and the organisation.
Key Responsibilities include:
Employee Relations
·Provide confidential advice, guidance and/or counselling to team managers/leaders on people and personal issues.
·Advise and assist managers on all matters concerning HR policies, procedures and processes, and also on relevant legislative requirements. These include performance management, discipline, improved performance review and grievance, training and development, remuneration, recruitment and selection, resourcing, termination of employment, issuing of employment contracts, induction etc.
Employee Resourcing
·Advise managers on the most appropriate means of identifying, assessing and selecting candidates through the recruitment process.
·Work with the management team and HR Consultant to assist with plans to achieve the forecast in the most cost effective manner, e.g. by developing internal recruits, using contractors, flexible working etc.
Employee Development
·Working with managers/team leaders assist employees in identifying appropriate career direction and specific roles, by helping them assess their capability and understand the roles required by the organisation.
·Providing advice and support on training and development during the appraisal process, utilizing the Training Catalogue.
Employee Reward
·Ensure the professional implementation of organisation reward strategy in accordance with business needs and take part in benchmarking activities to collect data and information, and audit and analyse data as required.
·Use specialist knowledge, experience and data analysis to provide advice and guidance to managers on the implementation and use of reward policies, processes and standards, to include gathering relevant data to support the banding committee and Management team, together with assessment of new roles within the existing banding structure ensuring fairness and equity is maintained.
What we’re looking for:
·Experience of and enjoyment within a fast moving, dynamic environment.
·Excellent communication skills, and able to build credibility with managers at all levels, employees and customers very quickly.
·CIPD Part or fully Qualified
·Experience of managing/handling disciplinary, grievance, recruitment process in line with best practice.
·Presentation Skills
