HR Business Partner

One of the worlds leading financial institutions is looking for an HR Business Partner to join their Investment banking arm to cover the Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Risk groups. This is a key hire for their Business Partner population. The key aspects of the role are as follows:

Deliverables:

* Understand and deliver people requirements for current and future business challenges
* Leader and custodian of the values of the organisation and associated people principles, taking full and visible responsibility for the delivery of the combined culture
* Successfully deliver high quality fit for purpose HR activity to the business, in collaboration with other HR Business Partners, Centres of Expertise and specialist functions
* Ensure effective organisational design and operating structures in place across the business in support of global and regional matrix business solutions
* Measure the success of HR solutions in contributing to the strategy of the business area and attainment of overall business objectives
* Input, drive and assist the implementation of both HR and organisational initiatives
* Working with the business management team to impact business results through talent, environment, and colleague engagement

Scope of Role:

* Taking regional responsibility for the articulation, syndication and delivery of the HR People Plan for the relevant business area
* Regionally responsible for aligning Investment Banking HR plans across the business area
* Role model of personal leadership within the Investment Banking HR functional integration and associated culture change programme
* Direct responsibility for the business management team in business area
* Specified geographic business matrix coverage across Investment Banking

Leadership and People Management:

* Maintains highest role model standards of Personal Leadership
* Support, coach and encourage staff development across Investment Banking HR
* Ensure project management processes are in place to monitor delivery and enhance performance in designated business area
* Ensure effective communication through to leadership, peers and team
* Manages a flexible resource aligned to business area comprising of HR Consultants and Specialists

Financial Management:

* Monitoring Programme and Project Budgets
* Commercial participation in the business area P&L/costs
* Management and consultancy in relation to appropriate reward mechanisms across the business

Experience

* Matrix management of self and business required - collaborating across geographical boundaries recognising and leveraging diversity across multiple stakeholders
* Matrix and multiple project/programme management experience
* Commercial business partnership and consultancy through delivery of HR strategy clearly impacting the bottom line
* Business Management and Divisional wide level influencing
* Flexibility and change orientation
* Technical HR experience implementation - including employee relations, organisational design and restructuring, change and leadership development
* Experience in delivering change working in a new and adapting consultancy/matrix based structure with a large volume of business critical tasks
* M&A experience, contributing to a significant business merger or acquisition
* Contribution to managing a budget and P&L, understanding the complexity of income generation and cost management
* Investment banking background
