About the Role:

Overview of the role
You will work in partnership with the Midlands Regional Manager and team to champion and implement people related best practice and change at a local level and embed people policies and practices.

Key Activities

You will:
·Provide advice, guidance and coaching to operational managers on a wide range of complex HR issues ensuring overall ownership remains in the line
·Identify development opportunities and initiate/facilitate workshops/meetings to build confidence and competence of line managers across a range of people related areas
·Liaise with the wider Member Business HR and Training teams and OD for feedback on and input to local and Member Business wide people issues.
·Develop HR initiatives to meet locally identified needs ensuring these are compatible with Group policies and our givens and values.
·Lead people policy implementation within your business area and manage the plans to embed new policies and working practices
·Research and analyse data to provide information and recommendations on ways to improve team and business performance
·Use your influencing skills to ensure that all people related decisions are made in keeping with policy guidelines and legal frameworks
·Identify, recommend, and implement operational process improvements and cost saving opportunities on behalf of the MBHR team.
·Contribute to planning, budget, MI, risk and compliance processes for area.


What we’re looking for:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

·Ideally at least 3 years professional and pro-active generalist HR experience gained at operational levels.
·In-depth knowledge of HR policies and practices
·Experience of operating within a regulatory environment
·Track record of successfully managing change
·Ability to influence and negotiate
·Strong relationship management skills
·Commercial and business acumen
·Personal organisation
·Self reliance and initiative as you will be field based
·Strong coaching and facilitation skills
·Ideally working towards CIPD or equivalent qualification

The position is based in the West Midlands, but there will be occasional travel to other parts of the UK
