The Human Resources Co-ordinators role is to assist the Human Resources Manager in running the people management side of the business. The Human Resources Co-ordinator plays an important part in delivering a comprehensive HR service to the business; by giving support and employment advice to the Companys employees (including the Directors and managers) and by helping to implement and improve current HR systems, procedures and processes.
The Human Resources Co-ordinator is responsible for:
Assisting the HR Manager by giving support and employment advice to employees as well Directors and managers as appropriate. It will be necessary for the individual to regularly liaise with the HR Manager on employment issues, attend employment law seminars and speak to the Companys mentoring service etc in order to keep abreast of changes in employment legislation and its practical application.
Assisting with appropriate HR related meetings (i.e. redundancy, consultation, investigatory, grievance, performance management and disciplinary meetings etc.); along with the completion of any necessary paperwork/administration, as directed. The HR Co-ordinator will be expected to undertake HR meetings on the HR Managers absence, as directed.
Taking and typing up minutes at relevant HR related meetings (as and when required).
Assisting with the communication of people related policies, procedures and Company changes to all of the staff.
Assisting with the research and implementation of an appropriate HR information system/s.
Assisting with the recruitment process to ensure consistency in all recruitment decisions
Assisting with the staff induction process
Assisting the HR Manager with imbedding the Companys core values and relevant Mission/Vision Statements into the Company.
Administering the Criminal Record Checks (CRBs)
Assisting the HR Manager with creating, implementing, updating and distributing the Company Handbook once/twice a year (to include all up to date changes in employment legislation and new/amended Company policies).
Creating, implementing, updating and distributing of all Contracts of Employment.
Generation of letters relating to staff changes and changes in employment terms.
Maintaining and updating all employee personnel files.
Maintaining, updating and distributing staff contact listings to relevant employees.
Assisting with communicating all monthly payroll changes to the Finance Manager (to include changes relating to staff pay, bank details, contact details and sickness).
Assisting with the management, distribution and retrieval of the Performance Development Review (PDR) system (along with the organisation of any relevant staff training); to and from all staff.
Assisting the HR Manager and ultimately the Special Projects Manager with any staff training requests (including staff training), as directed. This may involve the individual helping with the organisation of training along with any associated paperwork.
Assisting with the Company pay review
Assisting with monitoring and logging all Company sickness
Assisting the HR Manager with producing statistical reports relating to sickness, staff turnover, holiday and staff absence for the Directors.
Logging and monitoring all staff holiday requests in line with the Company holiday procedure.
Assisting the HR Manager with the administration involved in maintaining the Companys Investors in People award by generating any necessary paperwork/statistics required and helping with the co-ordination of the actual IiP assessment/s.
Assisting with the introduction, management and administration of a formal system of recognition and reward for all staff
