This HR Consultant team consists of 10 Consultants, all of which manage the client relationships with the UK business. Three of the team are on an Apprenticeship basis and cover much of the administration initially. They also have an in-house legal/policy specialist that provides advice and guidance to the team.
The focus of this role is a combination of day to day business support and managing client relationships. This role would be supporting Capital Markets. You would have primary HR Management responsibility for allocated business areas.
Candidates applying for the role must be degree educated, hold the CIPD qualification and have financial services experience.
Recruitment and Resourcing
Manage/administer recruitment process, for both internal and external vacancies, including:
Agree job descriptions with line managers
Arrange advertisements as appropriate
Conduct selection interviews
Provide guidance for managers with regard to setting starting salaries and benchmarking
Manage supplier/agency relationships including negotiating fees and Terms & Conditions
Employee Relations
Advise the business on performance management issues, and when necessary manage the full disciplinary process
Conduct and advise on Grievance processes
Negotiate and prepare Compromise Agreements when required
Keep abreast of current and up and coming employment law issues
Management Information
Create and run reports from HR system
General
Assist Relationship Management team and provide cover for colleagues
Liaison with Compliance department for Training and Competency purposes (FSA requirements)
Involvement with various HR projects
Respond to ad-hoc employee queries
Preparation of work permit applications and where required, management of the whole work permit application process
Collect salary survey information outside normal salary review period
