Title: HR Expatriate Payroll and Tax Specialist - Assistant/Coordinator level

Summary:
A fantastic opportunity to work with a leading Global organisation, to be part of the Expat/Global Mobility team. You will the assist the Expat team in all aspects of the Expatriate Payroll. You will be expected to carry out high level additional tasks to produce a timely and accurate payroll using the SAP Payroll system. There are fantastic prospects for development.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in HR Payroll and a great technical skill set.

Job description:

You will be responsible for:
i.Application of Expat assignment, including payments and deductions on the UK payroll, liaising with regions to avoid overlap.
ii.Liaise with tax advisors to ensure tax & NI compliance for expats and in-pats
iii.Provide payroll analysis to tax advisers to enable UK and overseas year end reporting. Also working with other areas within HR in providing complete data for all assignees at tax year-end.
iv.Maintain database of Expats
v.Act as point of contact should queries/questions arise from Payroll reconciliations, resulting in completing various data spreadsheets for employees
vi.Annual salary reviews for expats. Complete process of manual updates/changes for salary increases and any change in tax/NI or pension liabilities
vii.Bonus review, ensure\manage correct tax and NI treatments, part year apportionments and notional uplifts for expats.
viii.Administer MOD PAYE & housing PAYE. From remit to revenue through to year end
ix.Processing and validation of all statutory payments
x.Improvement of processes in a continual cycle
xi.Processing and validation of pension changes
xii.Management of payroll queries to a full and satisfactory resolution both verbal and written ensuring escalation as appropriate
xiii.Testing as part of any system changes required
xiv.Build relationships with wider HR community in order to improve understanding and make business processes more efficient
xv.Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
xvi.Process and support implementation of benefit initiatives
xvii.Fully competent in preparation of payroll journals
xviii.Payroll input /output checking
xix.Running of Payroll Extracts/Interfaces, Wage Type Statements, Ad-hoc Reports
xx.Handling of payroll queries

Quals / skills:
It is ESSENTIAL to have Expatriate Payroll experience in either a large Blue Chip organisation or global Financial Services company.
Experience in managing a relationship with an outsourced provider is a strong advantage.
Experience in the use of SAP is preferred.
It is important that the candidate will be able to successfully give consultative input when dealing with queries, be able to recognise problems and work towards identifying solutions.
