We are looking for an experienced HR Manager/Business Partner to work with an HR team to deliver operational excellence. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a challenging environment and be flexible in their approach. The role will be based in London and some travel to locations in Leeds and Newcastle may be required.

Role deliverables:

*build and develop effective, collaborative working relationships with line managers in order to implement the people plan;
*ensure employees experience operational excellence by "getting the basics right";
*work with your client group to develop a motivational and rewarding working environment that will facilitate the achievement of business objectives;
*support the implementation of cultural change initiatives and embed organisational values and behaviours;
*work with the HR team to share best practice and raise policy/practice issues;
*contribute to shaping the HR strategy, policies and product development; and
*support wider HR initiatives and projects as required


Candidate Requirements:

Experience required
*experience of providing close in support to managers on HR services/policies in a proactive environment;
*proven experience of building strong management relationships, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels of the business;
*a successful track record of providing a generalist HR service; and
*experience working as an HR Manager or Business Partner within the financial/public sector would be an advantage

Education/qualification requirements

*CIPD qualification desirable
