My Client, a successful independent school based in Cheltenham, is currently seeking a HR Manager. The purpose of this role is to establish a HR base within the school to ensure that all matters of HR relating to both teaching and support staff is carried out to a high standard. Substantial autonomy will be given, however there will be daily interaction with the heads of all teaching and support departments.
This is a permanent managerial position that is likely to develop over the next 2years, it is therefore the ideal opportunity for the right candidate to really make their mark.

This is a generalist role, so the successful candidate will be responsible for all major HR functions, from recruitment through to appraisals and inductions. Possibly the most important element of this position is to be the first point of contact for all staff on any HR related issues. For this reason a strong knowledge of employment law would definitely be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have several years HR experience and will be CIPD qualified or part qualified. They will also have experience of working in a professional environment.
