Our client, a leading magic circle law firm is currently seeking an HR Officer to join their London team.
Key Responsibilities;
• Trainee performance management: monitoring trainee review grades, coaching underperforming trainees, training referrals, and advising trainers on the review process and active performance management.
• Managing the trainee international secondment process
• Assisting with various trainee/graduate recruitment events (seat planning information evenings, LPC visits/drinks, insight week, vacation schemes, open days, university visits, training contract presentations and running business skills games).
• Responsibility for qualified lawyer secondment programmes
• Answering ad-hoc internal/external HR queries.
• Supervising and providing guidance to two HR Assistants in the team.
• Liaising with a wide range of internal and external contacts e.g. International Assignment Services team, BD, international HR teams, London line HR teams, trainers, Supervising Partners, the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
• Assisting the HR Manager with ad hoc projects and tasks
The ideal candidate would be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with CIPD qualification.
