HR Officer
Based: Lincolnshire
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Officer to join the busy HR department of a global engineering organisation.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Officer will provide technical assistance in the management and co-ordination of operational HR issues, employee relations, compensation, benefits, staffing and training ensuring adherence to government regulations and maintenance of confidential personnel records.
The key responsibilities of the HR Officer are as follows:
*In conjunction with the HR Manager monitor and develop HR policies and procedures. Keep up to date with European and UK employment law updates. Ensure current performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, terminations and staffing. Resolve operational personnel problems.
*Responsible for operational employment issues, manage disciplinary and grievance processes, performance problems, absence, welfare, pregnancy and general management/employee issues.
*Review, investigate, process and respond to employee questions, problems and complaints. Provide updates to management on changes to employment legislation.
*Assist the HR Manager in coordinating the recruitment process to meet the individual business needs.
*Develop person specification with manager, create advertisements, and manage advertising agencies and recruitment consultants.
*Co-ordinate assessment process utilising a range of methods from interviews to assessment centres and psychometric testing.
*Operate HR information system to record and track training information, records and key organisation data.
*Establish and maintain effective processes for communication and consultation and where appropriate meet and consult with employee representative groups.
*Support salary administration and merit increase. Provide support for the performance appraisal process.
*As a member of the Human Resources team, assume all other responsibilities as required and work with other managers to further the overall performance of the company.
Candidates will ideally be CIPD qualified and will have solid HR Administration experience. You will have excellent prioritization and organizational skills and must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
