My client is looking for a permanent Human Resources Officer to join there organisation in Taunton.
You will be Providing the Area Managers and Managers with professional HR legal advice and guidance on recruitment, disciplinary and grievance procedures, medical retirement and other general queries raised by employees of the company. Advises on disciplinary and grievance matters, arranges investigatory meetings and conducts hearings as necessary. Responsible for the issuing of contract letters for Manager and Deputy appointments and selected work base staff. Liaises with the Recruitment Officer to arrange recruitment initiatives. Assists in the development of new Human Resource systems. Responsible for the providing advice and guidance to Managers on the content, style and format of advertisements and job profiles. Participates in relevant working groups and undertakes project work as directed by Management.
Works closely with the payroll team to ensure that employee records are accurate and that systems are operating as efficiently as possible. Provides and reviews statistical information relating to staff numbers, turnover etc, and compiles analysis of employment trends. Ensure keep up to date with changes to statutory procedures, employment law etc. by reading professional material and attending relevant training sessions and legal seminars
