My client, one of the largest truck dealership groups in the West Midlands, are looking for a HR Officer to work in a stand-alone position, supporting the Operations Management team.

As the sole person responsible for all generalist HR functions for 170 staff you will be required to provide full HR support including:

 
·         Recruitment and selection; liaison with agencies and advertising media

·         Maintenance of manual and IT based HR records

·         Training and development; co-ordination, delivery and administration of new starter inductions

·         Answering queries relating to HR policies and procedures and escalating queries where necessary

·         Participation in grievance, disciplinary and appeal processes

·         Monitoring and reporting on sickness absence levels

·         Provision of administration support to the employee staff council

 

You will have proven experience of managing your own workload with the ability to use your own initiative.  You will be a confidant communicator, dealing with first line queries and escalating HR issues as appropriate.  You will have strong MS Office skills with the desire to improve upon existing systems and processes. 
 

Previous experience in similar HR role is essential and ideally you must be part or fully CIPD qualified.
