A leading Pharmaceutical company require a HR Officer for a period of upto 11 months, to cover maternity. The post-holder will be expected to provide a professional personnel service for all line management and employees. Other duties will include:

1. develop and maintain an effective recruitment policy that meets operating and business needs, provide a recruitment and selection service. Carry put all aspects of administration connected with recruitment from the time the vacancy is activated to induction. Carry out selection interviews alongside managers. Carry out inductions on first day. Negotiate with recruitment agencies.

2.Dealing with employee relation problems, advising managers on all matters concerning terms and conditions of employment, employment legislation and disciplinary issues.

3.Provide a salary administration service for all employees

4.Monitor and control headcount and employment cost to ensure that adequate information is available to managers.

5. Assist the HR Administration Manager with employee relations support(e.g negotiations, data preparation, salary administration). Contribute to the development of personnel policy and ensure up to date knowledge of employment law.

The ideal candidate would be CIPD qualified or equivalent, with solid generalist HR experience preferably in an industrial environment. Good basic knowledge of employment law, ability to work on own initiative, numerate with good computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills
