HR Policy Manager
Personnel, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service
Band E (B3/SEO)

This is an exciting role within Personnel where you will have responsibility for ensuring HR Policies and procedures support the needs of the service, the systems in place are efficient and adequate to deliver the service required and legal requirements are met.
You will also have responsibility for the range of HR policies contained in the COPFS Staff Handbook. You will take ownership of this and ensure compliance with legislation and HR good practice.
A key part of the role will be to write new policies and put together business cases for new policies where necessary and ensuring efficient roll out to the service. A critical aspect of this role will be the ability to modernise a range of policies across the service and a proven track record in delivering quality work in this area is necessary.
The successful applicant will be expected to lead discussions and negotiations with TUS and other stakeholders in the delivery of revised/new policies. You will also be expected to deliver training around those policies.

Essential Criteria:

Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Experience of working in an HR environment is necessary for this role. Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise.

Desirable Criteria:

Some project management experience

Information about the Office/Unit/Team:

The HR Policy Team currently consists of one Band D (HEO) for whom you will have line management responsibility.
