HUMAN RESOURCES SHARED SERVICES MANAGER Circa £40k + 10% Bonus (Based on initial set up & then on KPIs & SLAs) + BUPA + Pension + other benefits! CIPD qualified. Knowledge of HR databases (Snowdrop and Resourcelink) would be an advantage.

The HUMAN RESOURCES SHARED SERVICES MANAGER will either be an Assistant HR Manager currently working within a HR Shared Services environment or an experienced HR Manager with a background in large, commercial organisations looking to specialise within Shared Services.

The HUMAN RESOURCES SHARED SERVICES MANAGER will need to have solid generalist experience and be able to put processes in place for the whole business. Knowledge of Data Protection will be essential in maintaining employee records as well as knowledge of general UK Employment Law. Candidates should have worked for large, commercial organisations, have a strong background in staff management and have a thorough understanding of SLAs as they will be managing a new team of approximately 13 staff.

Reporting to the HR Executive [Corporate], the HUMAN RESOURCES SHARED SERVICES MANAGER will be accountable for the management and effective delivery of the HR support function. Key responsibilities will be to manage and lead a team of Advisors and Administrators in the delivery of accurate and efficient HR administration and systems, co-ordinate and support Operational HR, Recruitment & Selection & Organisation Development activities, provide advice and support on HR Policy and Process and support the wider HR population in maximising the quality of HR services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

(1) Effectively establish and manage the HR Shared Services Centre (HRSSC) on a day to day basis, developing & maintaining appropriate & effective staffing levels

(2) Ensure that the HRSSC purpose and processes are communicated & implemented throughout the organisation in a way that supports corporate objectives and service delivery

(3) Operate and maintain all necessary HR planning, Recruitment & Selection procedures to ensure that the SSC has staff of the right calibre to enable it to meet its corporate objectives, SLAs and KPIs

(4) Operate and maintain a remuneration strategy & appropriate Terms and Conditions of employment to ensure that the SSC is able to attract, retain & motivate staff

(5) Advise/work with HR Execs & HR Director about the HR policies, procedures and actions required to ensure that the SSC makes the best use of its employees & supports corporate objectives

(6) Develop & maintain all necessary training policies & procedures to ensure that all staff are trained & developed to the standards required for the SSC

(7) Maintain an awareness of the requirements of Employment Legislation to ensure that the SSC complies with all legal requirements & to provide sound advice to management through the SSC

(8) Encourage and maintain sound SSC Employee Relations by undertaking all necessary consultation and negotiation with employees (And representatives) & by ensuring the effective communication of policies, practices and processes

(9) Develop and maintain all necessary HR procedures and information systems to ensure that the SSC has all the information required for effective resource planning & management and regulatory compliance

(10) Review & maintain HR Information Systems and e-technology/web based capacity. Implement innovative new solutions as appropriate

(11) Direct and control the staff of the SSC to ensure that they undertake their responsibilities effectively and within budget

(12) Develop & monitor the SSC budget to ensure that services are provided at the appropriate level consistent with the attainment of the corporate objectives, SLAs and KPIs.

(13) Regularly meet with customers & Clients to obtain feedback and improve performance & productivity of SSC

(14) Deliver the administration support for all the shared HR systems & contracts such as flexible benefits

(15) Maintain electronic & paper records and systems in accordance with legislative and company procedures

(16) Provide data & report/statistics as requested

(17) In conjunction with IT/Human Resources management colleagues develop and maintain a high quality intranet and internet presence

(18) To actively support your SSC/Human Resources management colleagues in developing and running an efficient & effective SSC/Human Resources team
