My client, a leading organisation in its chosen field are looking to recruit a HR Systems Functional Support Manager into the Business. The role initially a 12 month contract with a view to being extended is to manage and co-ordinate the technical upgrade of Oracle HRMS (11.5.10) including the development of additional functionality (e.g. i-expenses, Self Service, OLM) and Business Objects (XIR3).

The purpose of the role will be to act as the primary functional application expert and share technical know-how with less experienced colleagues whilst providing high level support and knowledge transfer to a range of end users. To optimise the utilisation of various technology solutions which drive the efficient operational performance of HR by promoting and initiating opportunities for improvement, enhancement and standardisation. Your principal accountabilities of the role will include;

> Act as the functional application expert and the user support for functional application information. Maintenance of all functionality controlled set-ups such as regional value sets, key flex fields values, descriptive flex fields and lookups
> Manage the technical upgrade and development of Oracle HRMS and Business Objects by working closely with IS colleagues, business HR teams and 3rd party suppliers
> Act as the primary interface between the Business Process Team and technical IS team establishing working practices and directions around on/off-shore interfaces with the technical development team
> Drive system delivery against project plan whilst providing first point of contact for system queries/issues at all times
> Manage functional testing and implementation of approved changes, new patches and application enhancements. Resolve any issues and bugs that may arise

> To ensure that strategic HR system issues are identified and appropriate processes, systems are planned and implemented to enable delivery against such issues at all stages

You will have a broad functional knowledge of Oracle (and SAP would be advantageous) and implementing core MRMS modules. You will also require strong communication skills with experience of acting as a credible interface between business and technical teams with the confidence to take decisive action when required.
