Insurer Learning & Development Manager

Global leader in financial services, seeking to add this Learning & Development Specialist to their team. You'll be the subject matter expert for the in house global university. You'll be part of the management team who design, develop and help implement financial products, risk management and professional skills programs for employees at all levels.

Your responsibility will include the design and delivery of core curriculum programs for the underwriting and claims communities within this insurance group. You'll develop cross-departmental knowledge sharing models at senior levels. You'll need to design and develop training sessions, on line modules and experiential learning activities utilising vendors, faculty, industry experts, and internal experts. You'll have input into the optimal mix of programs for varied geographies and business situations. In addition you'll be shaping the strategies for induction and development of newcomers to the business.


To be successful in this role you will need:
* Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry, financial products and risk - preferably with a thorough understanding of underwriting and/or claims team operations
* Experience in curriculum design
* High self-motivation
* Strong project management skills
* Excellent presentation, writing and editing skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to influence laterally and vertically
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers to deliver business results
* Advanced degrees and certifications desirable
* Ideally business line experience
* Ideally teaching and/or instructional design skills and experience
