A fast-paced organisation is looking for an enthusiastic and credible HR Advisor on an interim contract. Having recently implemented a shared-service function and taken on the HR requirements for all sites throughout the UK, the shared-service function now services all 2500 employees.

Working in this busy environment you will act as first point of contact for any HR queries or questions. You will be expected to:

• provide HR support and guidance to the wider business
• work in line with departmental Service Level Agreements and KPIs to increase efficiency and maintain high standards
• assist in up-skilling the management population in order to allow them to manage effectively.
• provide accurate and up-to-date Employment Law and Employee Relations advice.
• act as a point of escalation for any issues that cannot be dealt with at a junior level.

As well as having the support of a dedicated HR team you will assist in the development of a number of HR Coordinators. Some travel may be expected in order to establish relationships with managers in sites throughout the UK as well giving HR a physical presence.

This role will be challenging! You will have to juggle a large and varied workload, work to strict deadlines, change the attitude of some disillusioned managers within the business and sell the benefits of HR in order to achieve positive results.

To apply you must have a strong knowledge of Employment Law and Employee Relations, experience of either working in a Shared Service Centre, Call Centre or in a regional/multisite capacity.

This is an exciting time for the organisation following a period of change that has resulted in the implementation of the Shared Service function. You will have a degree of input into the direction the SSC moves in as well as having the opportunity to make a distinct impression on the business.
