We are currently recruiting a HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract on behalf of a not for profit client with conveniently located offices in a central location. Reporting to the Head of HR, you would be working closely with the other HR Advisor, fulfilling a generalist role, but supporting the HR function through an ongoing period of change. Our client is in a rare growth area in today’s economy, but they are currently undertaking a job evaluation exercise and proposed restructuring may result on redundancies.
Day to day duties include:
• Management of sickness / absence which is a big issue at present.
• Disciplinary work at all levels up to dismissal
• Dealing with complex caseloads, handling grievance and investigation hearings
• TUPE and Redundancy duties, attending and guiding managers in redundancy consultation meetings
• Working closely with departmental managers, in an advisory / consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and apply HR policies and procedures and best practice
Ideally candidates will be / should have:
• CIPD Qualified
• Experience at handling grievance and investigation hearings
• Experience of guiding, coaching and supporting managers in ER issues and meetings
• Exposure to consultation processes and procedures and change management
• Experience of guiding, coaching and supporting managers in ER issues and meetings
• Exposure to consultation processes and procedures and change management
• Someone with a positive attitude who can adapt to different areas of HR and someone who can 'think outside of the box' and is able to demonstrate clear knowledge and understanding of the HR field.
• Looking for someone who can assess a situation and able to find solutions which are best practice, legally compliant and realistic.
