A newly created public body are urgently seeking an HR Business Partner on an interim basis. The ideal person will:
* Be proactive and able to act without guidance, be able to initiate and intervene in ways that add value.
* Be able to contribute to the delivery of the organisations strategic objectives.
* Have the ability to lead, take a proactive leadership role to ensure the organisation uses the tools available to get the best out of the individuals they employ, recognise the difference between leadership and management, influence and persuade people to accept things they may not want to hear.
* Be analytical and an effective user of management information, contribute to business and operational plans, identify associated costs and issues and propose means of addressing them.
* Encourage cross activity understanding, working and support, participate in wider HR activities and go the extra mile.
* Anticipate change and the implications of change, intervene early having spotted potential problems and risks, evaluate best practice and constantly look for ways of achieving it, take advantage of key learning on review of projects.
* Establish and maintain contacts and relationships within the organisation and outside of where appropriate, benchmark with other organisations as appropriate.
* Be results focused, associates accountabilities with responsibilities, leads by example, work to remove any blame culture, demonstrate resilience.
This role is based in Manchester but will involve working two days a week in London, as well as occasional travel to Scotland and Wales. Previous experience as an HR Business Partner is essential, along with change management experience and public sector exposure.
