Our client is a fast moving concern looking to appoint an experienced HR generalist for an interim HR manager.
It offers a challenging brief and you will have overall responsibility and management of the company's HR Strategic and operational areas, covering Employee Relations, Employee Development, Employee Compensation and Benefits and Employee Recruitment. In addition you will have responsibility for provision of the full HR service to two warehouses and the commercial areas of Sales, Finance, Admin and IT.
Key Responsibilities
Management of the Operational HR function provision of Strategic advice to the Board of Directors
Use good working relationships and knowledge of UK HR best practice to maintain and offer improvements to the service offering to all Employee and Managers.
Coach the HR Generalist and maintain the 'escalation' of risk
Employee Recruitment
Continue to develop and implement a recruitment strategy, which aims to reduce attrition rates in Sales and Warehouse and also address the quality of hires.
Employee Relations
Over see the employee relations, ensure that Managers are effectively trained and empowered to identify problems early and deal with them before a major issue arises.
Continue to support the ISO process, Quality Control initiatives and implement IIP
Manage the Employee Survey and support the board in ensuring that actions are taken to continuously improve the scores across the business.
*Employee Development
Create and implement a Development Strategy for the UK business. Work to identify and deliver the development needs identified.
Create and deliver internally run Training packages as appropriate
Utilise all external funds possible and deliver training that brings up the level of expertise within the business.
Continue to build on the effectiveness of the Management team via ensuring that Key Talent in the business is rewarded effectively and retained.
Building up basic skills of those new to Managing.
Building up basic literacy of Warehouse staff (specifically IT skills).
Deliver a HR Guide for Managers that supports all development initiatives
*Employee Compensation & Reward
Work in partnership with the Comp and Bens Analyst to benchmark existing salaries within company and make recommendations for improvements of total reward so that the race to recruit talent at all levels of the business (specifically Sales and Warehouse), for talent is one that company can win.
Develop new initiatives that lead to company being an employer of choice (flexible working policy, government initiatives (e.g. childcare voucher scheme, ride to work scheme)
Ideally you be Graduate Degree CIPD qualified or equivalent with preferred exposure within a fast paced environment e.g. distribution /logistics.
