The Background

A world leading defence organisation is currently seeking an L&D professional to provide a full consultancy service to the UK business units.

The Role

The L&D Consultant will work closely with their specific clients areas in providing expert information, advice and guidance to support the achievement of the business plan objectives.

You will be responsible for providing an expert L&D consultancy service to the HR managers and client managers. Conducting robust training needs analysis; you will identify training needs and skills gaps and work with the external providers to ensure the right training is delivered at the right time. This is a true business partner role, therefore, you will be scoping out L&D projects, managing the budget for the client area together with building strong relationships with the key stakeholders.

The Person

The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with proven experience of working within a large complex organisation. Possessing strong consultancy skills and problem solving skills you will have the ability to analyse complex and organisational business problems and provide an L&D solution. You will be a strong negotiator with excellent stakeholder management and project management experience.

This is initially an interim role, however, this could become permanent.
