Learning and Development Specialist

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Learning and Development Specialist to work closely with the Head of Learning in an International Financial Services firm that is dealing very well with the current economic situation.

As the Learning and Development Specialist you will assist with implementing Group deliverables, project manage the implementation of Talent and Leadership Development interventions and provide advice on learning options, meeting individual and team requirements for Stakeholders. You are responsible for delivering Group Centre HR Projects, developing leading edge knowledge and guiding principles for others within the HR function.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain strong relationships with the customer and key stakeholders ( I.e. Head of HR & HRBP team, Business Area Manager) and develop a good understanding of local issues with the support of the Head of Learning
* Develop and maintain excellent staff relationships within the organisation to ensure achievement of business goals & ensure a consistently high quality delegate experience is maintained to build the organisations brand, locally, nationally and internationally
* Support the Head of Learning in building and maintaining a professional and motivated learning team within the Group to deliver learning solutions to specified business requirements
* Manage external learning supplier relationships
* Coach line managers and HRBPs to cascade key L&D initiatives as well as improving their understanding of key L&D areas
* Ensure existing Learning courses are maintained and up to date, taking personal responsibility for continuous monitoring and reviewing of product value and highlighting any need for improvement, contingency or removal from course calendar
* Pilot, review and facilitate train the trainer activity with suppliers and HRBP's for proposed new learning solutions ensuring alignment to the organisations guiding principles, HR policies and legislation

* Excellent relationship and project management skills
* Significant experience of E-Learning design skills and methodologies
* Strong supplier management skills
* Adaptable and flexible in a constantly changing environment
* Experience in L & D development approaches/methods
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the delivery of effective
* Pragmatic and delivery focused

The successful candidate will be ready to step into a challenging position in a fast paced and up beat environment, and the ideal candidate will preferably have experience from the Financial or Professional services industry.
