Our client, a Public Sector organisation based in Nottingham, requires a Learning & Development Officer, £32k maximum, to join their team.
Staff Development is changing within the organisation and they are in the process of establishing a new Centre for Professional Learning and Development to support colleagues in the context of achieving the strategic aims. Part of this exciting new initiative, this post is a new role designed to strengthen and enhance the service that they offer to managers.
The successful applicant for this post will develop and deliver training and associated support materials and will provide bespoke support for HR processes such as recruitment and selection, Performance Development Review and staff induction. They will contribute for Professional Learning and Development's programme of activities in support of the Learning and Development Strategy, including accredited courses.
They are seeking applicants with relevant professional knowledge and experience of HR policy and process and of designing and delivering training. You will have the ability to work collaboratively and to organise a busy and varied workload. With excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong credibility with mangers, you will also have the ability to work on a consultancy basis with staff. A flexible approach to meeting the learning and development needs of staff is imperative as is the ability to work as part of a team.
