Training Officer at a Leading Professional Services Firm – To £45k
This law firm are looking for a Training Officer to work across the firm. With a strong agenda for growth, we work in an open, dynamic environment with little hierarchy where our people are encouraged to take on as much responsibility as they are ready to whilst receiving the support they need to develop both their professional and their commercial skills.
Design and Delivery
· Leading on and working collaboratively in the design and delivery of training programmes/ away days/events.
· Providing one on one training/rehearsals/ support and guidance to individuals across the firm.
Projects/responsibilities
· Managing the Trainee Solicitors’ Professional Skills Course
· Managing the Trainee Solicitors’ post-seat check up process
· Managing the annual Development Plan meeting process for lawyers and members of business services
· Managing the training budget. This involves co-ordination, production, on-going management, checking, processing and managing invoices and payment
· Legal training account management for a number of legal departments
· First port of call in relation to CPD and other regulatory queries, ensuring all lawyers/barristers are in compliance with the regulations and ensuring the firm is up to date with regard to changes in the regulations
· Training Needs Analysis for Lawyers and Business Services following the annual review process
· Working closely with Head of Training and both Training Managers on ad hoc projects
Administration
· Liaising with speakers at firm wide level to discuss and set dates for training courses, booking rooms
· Supervising the Training Assistant to ensure that all training is correctly recorded and advertised via the Learning Management System
· General administration
Personal Profile:
· Commitment to training with excellent presentation and facilitation skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· A strong team member, able to work effectively as part of a small team with desire to contribute ideas, support others and take the team forward
· Flexible, adaptable and proactive
· Good organisational and co-ordination skills with the ability to multi-task
· Demonstrates high standards and attention to detail
· Resilient, confident, yet sensitive to different needs, personalities and situations. Able to forge relationships at all levels across the organisation
