Frequently asked questions

What is the it?
The PersonnelToday.com Supplier News Service lets you put your press releases on the PersonnelToday.com website.

What's the benefit?
If you are a supplier of goods or services to the HR profession, having your latest press releases on our website gives you the potential to put your company's news in front of the eyes of the 35,000+ HR professionals who visit our site every month.

Your press release will be completely integrated into our site content, meaning that your release appears in relevant search results conducted on our site and through search engines.

It also helps to associate your organisation with the Personnel Today brand.

What can I include in my press release?
You can include:

  • Headline - maximum 58 characters long
  • Up to 500 words of text
  • Contact details - name, telephone number, email address and a hyperlink to your website
  • One image (gif or jpg format only, maximum size 200x200 pixels). This could be, for example, your company logo, or a product picture.

Can I say anything I like in my press release?
Not quite. In order to fit the values of the website the release must focus on some "news" angle - e.g. new product launched, milestone achieved, client acquired, appointment made.

PersonnelToday.com reserves the right to edit releases in order to:

  • Fit our house style
  • Meet legal obligations
  • Meet our own publishing standards

This includes, but is not limited to, removing hyperbole and unsubstantiated statements. If you can not agree with our changes, we will not publish the release and you will not be charged.

Can I choose how the article is formatted - typefaces, colours and so on?
All press releases will be presented in the standard style of PersonnelToday.com. However, you may choose to have words or phrases presented in bold or italic. The image you supply can be placed between any two paragraphs. Please specify the location within the text.

Where will my press release appear?
Press releases appear in a new section called "supplier news", which is accessed through the main suppliers menu.

Is my press release available to someone searching the site?
Yes. Providing your press release contains the term being searched on, your press release will appear in the search results in the same way as other PersonnelToday.com articles.

How is the service promoted?
The headlines of the three most recent press releases appear on most of PersonnelToday.com's pages including the home page.

How long will my press release stay on the site?
Press releases stay on the site for three months.

Can I change my press release once it's published?
We will be happy to correct any errors that may occur in the process of converting and loading material that you send us, but we are not able to change the substance of the press release.

I want to go ahead. What do I need to provide you with?
You will need to provide us with the following items:

  • Headline: 58 characters maximum
  • Text: 500 words maximum
  • JPEG image: 200x200 pixels maximum
  • The image you supply can be placed between any two paragraphs. Please specify the location within the text.
  • The URL of the page on your own site that you would like users to visit for more information.
  • The contact details (name, email address, telephone number) of the person our administrator can contact when loading your press release in the event of a query.

I don't have a JPEG. Can you make me one?
We can make a suitable JPG for you from a photograph or from an electronic file for an additional £50. If you supply us with an electronic image file which requires resizing, there will be an additional £25 charge.

How soon will it appear on the site?
We will aim to get your press release onto the site within one working day.

What does it cost?

  • Normal rate: £500 per press release
  • Discounts for bulk deals:
