Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is the department responsibile for business, industrial strategy, science, innovation, energy, and climate change. It follows the merger in 2016 of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), a reorganisation which also saw apprenticeships and the skills agenda move to the Department for Education (DfE).
