Comment on BIS/EHRC research prompts a pregnant silence in Westminster by Laura

There is data from Opportunity Now’s Project 28-40 research (which surveyed 25,000 people) on why parents and non-parents in the 28-40 age group left work – though I appreciate not all parents will be in that age group. Whilst it doesn’t go into explicit detail about people feeling they had to leave, ‘I was very unhappy in my job’ could potentially cover being badly treated, so it might give some idea: http://opportunitynow.bitc.org.uk/system/files/research/project_28-40_the_report.pdf (the relevant chart is on page 11 of the report).

In the interests of honesty, I should add that I work for the campaign that produced this report.
