Agree Greg, we need to treat our own profession with more respect. Perm in my firm is 100% exclusive and 95% retained – once you can get a recruiter a taste of what a true mutual commitment based relationship feels like they are hooked! Clients also get more than they pay for in my opinion. I get angry with the crappy terms and deals that some in our industry accepts and then the rest have to swim upstream against it until the client realises that they don’t get value or service in a non-monogamous relationship. The mud splatters widely.
