HL was probably asked to leave his job in Statoil due to a series of mediocre dispositions during his time as a leader there, but as a miracle for him he got this job in BG. But now BG will be taken over by Shell that feels HL is not the man to be counted as a candidate for the top job in the merged company, or as a candidate for any other top job there either, so he will be kicked out again. But he is allowed to stay in his job to tidy up in BG until the merge is done.
