DIY
chain B&Q is looking to recruit 1,000 new store managers solely from the
internet.
The
chain will use its recently-launched management careers website in an attempt
to achieve easier, quicker and more efficient high-volume recruitment.
B&Q
is opening 20 new stores this year and hopes to have all 1,000 managers in
place within 12 months.
The
company’s head of HR Rob Barnett, said that almost a quarter if management
applications were already received via the internet which lead to fairer
results, as all candidates were screened in the same way.
