Invitation to Tender: Extended Services Training Provision

London Borough of Waltham ForestLondon Borough of Waltham Forest
Children & Young People Directorate

The London Borough of Waltham Forest wishes to set up a Framework Agreement for the provision of  ‘Extended Services Training’ and invites tenders from organisations with a proven track record of successfully delivering Training Provision to the Childcare environment.
The Framework Agreement is expected to commence in December 2009 and will be for a three-year period with the option to extend by a further 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance. Successful providers will be appointed to the Framework Agreement and will be invited to compete for work as and when training needs are identified.

The Council has provided an extensive and varied Early Years Training Programme for child minders and childcare providers.  The programme consists of approximately 70 courses, includes a wide range of subjects covering practical, vocational and professional qualification levels.  Some courses will be running on Saturdays or in the evenings.

We require two separate groups of providers; one group to provide short courses and a second to provide courses leading to qualifications.  Providers must have a proven track record in delivering a course or cluster of courses from our training programme.

The training provision will be provided locally, from premises identified by the Council.

The budget allowed for this Framework Agreement is approximately £824,000 for the duration of the framework.

Providers will be appointed to the Framework Agreement on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. Short-listed bidders may be invited to attend an interview/clarification meeting as part of the tender process.
