Insurer Royal & SunAlliance has launched an intranet site to help employees with their career management.
The ‘Career Innovation Zone’ has gone live following a successful pilot at the end of 2007, and enables employees to assess their skills in terms of strengths and weaknesses, identify career and development goals, and improve their career management by learning networking and influencing skills.
The site also provides interactive career planning tools for both employees and leaders.
Hayley Robinson, technical capability development director at Royal & SunAlliance, said: “We launched the Technical Academy to enhance technical knowledge to better serve customers and to help grow the business. We’ve created this site to complement the academy.
“We want to ensure that we provide ongoing learning and development opportunities for all our technical experts. Successful careers benefit employees, leaders and the organisation as a whole, and this can only serve to improve the business and customer experience going forward.”
