Aon clients win four top honours at the Employee Benefit Awards
Capgemini, easyJet, Misys and T-Systems all win at influential annual event
LONDON (10 June, 2016) – Aon Employee Benefits, the UK health and benefits business of Aon plc (NYSE: AON), has supported four clients to win at the annual Employee Benefits Awards ceremony at the Artillery Garden at the HAC, London. The wins were for wide-reaching employee benefits projects: Capgemini won Best global or expatriate benefits, easyJet won Best pension communications, Misys won Best DC pensions change and T-Systems won Best total reward statements.
The Employee Benefits Awards are highly respected in the market for highlighting best practice and innovation in private and public sector organisations. For winners, part of the honour is that the judges are carefully selected for their deep expertise spanning employee benefits, HR and pensions.
From intense competition, the judges deemed that:
Capgemini won Best global or expatriate benefits: “Capgemini has achieved global alignment, which isn’t an easy thing to do. It brought international sectors together under one umbrella, providing equity across the piece. We were impressed by the innovative financial design underpinning the structure of the strategy, which provided the agility to adapt to significant changes to the workforce.”
easyJet won Best pension communications: “Robo-advice was at the heart of the airline’s multi-faceted communications campaign. The results speak for themselves, with an unprecedented number of employees making contributions in some sections of the workforce. Even before the official launch of robo-advice, some 1,800 employees had actively engaged with it in some way. It was trailblazing in what it achieved around robo-advice. The use of the organisational brand is strongly apparent, which is a great idea.”
Misys won Best DC pensions change: “Misys harmonised a number of costly legacy pension schemes into a single group personal pension (GPP) plan. We felt the organisation had a strong, clear strategy around what it wanted to achieve and worked hard to establish a dialogue with trustees and employees. Despite the complexity of the project, it achieved its aims in just seven months, with impressive results. It also balanced the needs of the business and employees.”
T-Systems won Best total reward statements: “T-Systems statements benchmark their investment in benefits against competitors. As a result, 94% of staff surveyed would recommend their benefits package to friends and family, while take-up and participation rates have increased across the benefits. Total reward statements are also viewed as central to creating a single company brand identity.”
In the past year, Aon’s clients and work have been recognised with ten awards, spanning technology innovations at the Corporate Adviser Awards, benefits innovation and consultancy at the Workplace Savings and Benefits Awards and HR and benefits solutions at the Director of Finance Awards.
