City insiders set to disrupt Asset Management world with new start up AlgoMe

London March 30, 2017: AlgoMe, the innovative London-based start-up using intelligent technology for career development and job placement, has announced its beta phase today.

The company is led by Rob Carter (formerly Aberdeen Asset Management) and Luuk Jacobs (previously at Aviva Investors). Their deep industry experience has given them first-hand insight into the issues and challenges they’ve set out to resolve. In launch phase, AlgoMe is focused on the world of Asset Management, growing to the wider Financial Services industry, and recruitment and mentoring at launch and over time will broaden to other verticals.

“AlgoMe will soon prove itself as the platform of choice for successful career development and talent management. We know there is something missing and people are looking for a solution.” Said Rob Carter. “We believe there will be wide adoption across the industry as businesses, thanks to AlgoMe, will now be able to engage directly with professionals to find the right individual at the right time.”

AlgoMe, a web and mobile-based membership community of professionals, will be available at launch to the Asset Management community in the UK and Europe. Professionals can preregister now and will shortly be able to create a free profile to match with jobs across a number of sectors including Asset Management and Fintech; as well as direct questions to experienced professionals, or be matched to mentors with the knowledge to get them closer to where they want to be in their careers. HR managers and project leaders will be able to create a presence and share job opportunities at their organisations and discover the right person to match their requirements.

The AlgoMe team, based in the heart of London’s tech city, is on the doorstep of the Asset Management community. It has a group of experienced advisors in HR, Financial Services, Law and Technology. The first wave of industry feedback has been hugely positive; businesses and professionals alike feel this solves many career and recruitment issues.

The Benefits and How it Works
AlgoMe with its intelligent network and matching service, uses proprietary technology to deliver numerous benefits. The major benefit of using AlgoMe to find talent is the recruitment process which is expedited and highly efficient due to the algorithms and quality matching. Businesses and professionals who have completed the registration process, are able to directly engage with relevant matches. It’s rather like a dating app in that you get to determine if the match is right for you before your data is shared.

People seeking access to career development knowledge and connections are discretely matched on the platform; allowing individuals to meet new people for mentoring or networking without having data in the public domain. As a result, personal development and career progression can now match the pace of the evolving industry.

AlgoMe is in beta phase, launching fully in Spring 2017.
