Ergotron, a global movement company focused on designing and manufacturing kinetic work environments, has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling the critical lack of movement in the modern workplace, following the appointment of new CEO Chad Severson.
Severson, who most recently served as president of InSinkErator, a division within Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, has been serving as CEO for the company since January 1 of this year.
With recent research revealing that sedentary lifestyle is linked to 70,000 deaths per year in the UK, Severson wants to challenge leaders and management teams to recognise that adopting dynamic work environments is part of the core strategy of companies that are truly invest in one of the most valuable asserts for success, their teams.
“Workplaces that lack movement and remain static are truly a leadership challenge,” says Severson. “Flexibility in how, where and when an employee works is a necessary criteria organisations need to attract, retain top talent and realize high employee potential. We’re ready to challenge leaders to plan for a comprehensive wellness approach that gives employees options for workspace movement throughout their day.”
Severson will focus the company on business strategy, innovation, lean execution and challenge existing conventions to drive greater appeal upon non-endemic audiences.
