Safety Groups members receive recognition awards

The work of a raft of occupational health and safety groups has been recognised in the latest Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents round of awards.

The organisations, all members of Safety Groups UK, were honoured in the Alan Butler Awards for Excellence in January.

Nottinghamshire Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) won best membership recruitment and retention approach, Sheffield OSHA was the “best programme” winner as well as “best communication”, while Suffolk and North Essex Occupational Safety Group won in the “best seminar/workshop” category. A new “outstanding individual contribution” award was given to Swansea and West Wales Occupational Safety Group secretary Anne Jones.
