Blackpool’s famous donkeys are to be given workers’ rights, including an hour for lunch.
Council officials will also ensure that they work only from 10am until 7pm with every Friday off, says the Daily Telegraph.
The ‘donkey charter’ also limits the £2 beach trips to 200 yards, and will be enforced by council officials.

The resort’s 200 donkeys and the 40 horses that pull carriages through the town are to line up on the sands to have their hooves, ears, teeth and coats examined by vets.
A council spokesman said: “We’re extremely proud of our donkeys and all these regulations have been put in place to ensure they are cared for as best we can.
