Council recommends anger management classes for ticket-happy Torbay traffic wardens

Stressed out traffic wardens in a Devonshire seaside resort have been urged to take up anger management classes by the local council.

Torbay council today published a report, which suggests that NCP traffic wardens consider anger management courses after enduring a “sustained period of criticism” over the summer months.

The wardens have been in the firing line since NCP took over parking duties in the town last year.

Since then, parking fines have been issued 28,500 times, compared with only 4,581 in 2004.
