Phone company France Telecom has put a stop to its controversial reorganisation involving internal transfers, which has been blamed for a series of staff suicides, the Guardian has reported.

The move came as a result of discussions with unions following the deaths of 25 employees in 20 months.
The report added that workers’ representatives blamed the company restructuring, as well as a bullying management style for the deaths, the most recent of which occurred last week when an employee at the research and development centre in Brittany killed himself at his home.
