TV shopping channel QVC has launched an employee wellbeing programme, Wellbeing@Work, to provide staff with information on improving their personal health and fitness.
The programme, which will run across the company’s London and Knowsley sites, was initiated and planned by the employee committee, QVC Forum, and will be led and run entirely by staff.
The programme aims to reduce stress and sickness, improve performance and productivity, and aid the recruitment and retention of employees.
Planned activities include Weight Watchers sessions, health checks, no-smoking days and alcohol awareness sessions.
Frank Robinson, HR director at QVC, said: “We believe that our people are fundamental to the success of the business and we are committed to ensuring they are as healthy and happy as possible, both at home and at work.
