Shell fined 90,000 for offshore platform deaths
Oil giant Shell has been fined £900,000 following the deaths of two workers on its Brent Bravo offshore production platform in September 2003. The workers had been inspecting pipework when they were overcome by a large release of hydrocarbon gas.

Property developers fined after fall kills worker
Three property developers, Jeremy, Simon and Anne Freeman, and a contractor, David Mitchinson, have been fined a total of £100,000, plus ordered to pay costs of £40,000, after the death of worker early last year, who fell from a fourth floor while refurbishing a mansion block in London.
