A former RAF employee from Cornwall is suing the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for £6m after breaking his neck during an It’s a Knock-Out style fun day.
Robert Uren was trying to collect plastic fruit from an inflatable pool when he slipped as he dived in.
The 24-year-old, of Camborne in Cornwall, was paralysed from the waist down following the accident at RAF High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire and now uses a wheelchair, according to a BBC report.

He was medically discharged from the RAF and is now seeking more than £6m from the MoD, claiming it was liable.
The MoD said the case was scheduled for the High Court in London on 23 November.
